We have several strategies in play to insure we offer more to our customers. Lloyoll Built is on the forefront of energy efficient building techniques. We educate ourselves on all current technology, assessing it to understand how it can benefit our clients. We are particularly proud of our thickened wall system that has eliminated thermal bridging, increased the thermal performance of our wall assembly by 22% and has left the cost of the wall assembly unchanged for our Clients.
Lloyoll Built is progressing into the future of construction with an environmentally controlled construction facility. In January 2016 we began our venture into modular homes. CSA’s rigorous testing qualifies our modules to be shipped, completed, to any location in Canada. With our strategic partnership with Halifax based architectural firm “East Coast Modern”, our first home was fabricated in Warehouse B in the Port Mersey Commercial Park. This home was pre-sold and shipped to St. Margarets Bay and installed on a foundation there, May 2016.
Our CSA label will allow us to finish wall panels to a greater extent, installing insulation and building envelope aspects that will advance projects that are time tight and weather restricted. Local Building inspectors will only need to view the CSA designated label to accept these structural components that are now too finished to inspect visually.
The Port Mersey Commercial Park, owned by Innovacorp and run by Nova Scotia Lands is a key component to our venture. The infrastructure in place and flexible terms offered make it possible for our firm to enter into this new realm.
